Here's some more sketchbook work from my university summer project.

Sydney Harbour.

I went to Australia last summer, and absolutely loved it in Sydney. I've intended to do a few paintings based from photographs for a while, so here's my first one, which took weeks and am so pleased it's finally finished.

The photo's was taken at a strange angle so it looks a bit off, but I was desperate to get it up here as soon as I'd finished, so I don't care. :)

I also made an animation based on the brief title 'Up.'
This was based on the theme 'nature' again, and I'm really pleased with the turnout, considering it involved painting outside at 6 am. The animation itself took a whole day (6 am till about 10.30 pm), and I used acrylic paint on a canvas board. I only used a computer to animate the photos (227 in total) together, the rest is done completely by hand.

My sister helped me out with the choice for music and editing it for me, which is from the film 'Amelie.' The original choice was 'Blue Ridge Mountains' by the Fleet Foxes, but think it works better in terms of the timing. Hope you all like it.

Sketchbook Work.

These sketches are from my summer brief "Up" as preparation for my second year at uni. I'm looking at 'nature' and 'architecture' as potential themes but am currently finding it hard to be more specific.

I'm planning to upload images of my work or write about how the project's going at least once a week.
